Hot pot,also known as ‘steamboat’ in Singapore, Malaysia ,Thailand,the Philippines and Brunei,refers to several East Asian varieties of soup or stew,consisting of a simmering pot of stock at the center of a dining tabal.While the pot is kept simmering. ingredients are placed into the stock base and are cooked at the table.Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat,leafy vegetable and greens,mushrooms,wontons,dumplings,and a variety of seafood.Vegetables,fish and meat are always fresh.The cooked food is usually eaten with dipping sauces.
